The Belgium Cello Society ASBL
The Belgium Cello Society ASBL is led by cellist and Artistic Director Han Bin Yoon to organize, promote, and support cello playing in Belgium. In 2017, the renowned Queen Elisabeth Competition presented the cello competition for the first time in its long history, instantly propelling the cello to the limelight in Belgium. With the cello’s rapidly growing popularity and interest, the BCS enriches the Belgian music scene by elevating the cello voice to its newfound prominence.
The BCS hosts a multitude of activities all year-round, most notably the biennial Brussels Cello Festival and Buchet International Cello Competition; the annual season of concerts and masterclasses continuously attract international artists and young talents to Belgium.
