The Brussels Cello Festival is an internationally recognized biennial cello festival bringing together the world’s top cellists and young talents to Belgium for a week of inspiring concerts and masterclasses. This year’s festival theme is “Cellists for Cellists” - an homage to cellist-composers through the centuries who shaped the repertoire of our most beloved instrument.

The 2024 Brussels Cello Festival will mark our 4th edition and promises to be our biggest edition yet, with a total of 8 scintillating programmes taking place in the iconic Brussels landmark, Flagey as well as the historic Église Notre-Dame de la Cambre.

The artists make up the heart of the festival, and this year’s festival artists are as varied as they are exciting! From world renowned soloists to the most passionate rising stars, the 2024 edition promises to excite even the most discerning critic.

Participants of the 2024 Buchet International Cello Competition will also participate in the Gala Concert on 16 November in Flagey Studio 4, and the top three laureates will have their own moments to shine in their "BICC Winner’s Concert” in Flagey Studio 1. These young artists repesent some of the brightest talents across the top conservatories of the world - come hear the future of cello playing today!
