We are looking forward to hearing cellist Raphael Bell, principal cellist of the Antwerp Symphony and pianist Eliane Reyes in this captivating programme - it begins with the Fauré Sonata No. 2 which was commissioned by the French government in 1921 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the death of Napoleon, and will be performed this evening as the 200th anniversary tribute:
